Louise Staley, the Liberal candidate for Ripon, has launched a campaign to secure State Government funding for the redevelopment of the Ararat swimming pool.

“The community and council have done a great job by committing to the funding of a large portion of the cost of redeveloping the pool.

“Now I’ve launched a local campaign to fight for funding from the Napthine Government for a new kiosk and change rooms,” Ms Staley said.

This funding would help to deliver a modern complex that all locals can benefit from, Ms Staley said.

“Denis Napthine is from country Victoria and he knows the importance of local community infrastructure like this, so I am confident he will listen to our community.

“The Ararat pool is an important part of our community. Not only does the facility encourage people to be active and healthy, it helps bring local people together.

“To join my campaign you can go to my website and fill out the petition,” Ms Staley said.

“Together we can make a real difference, and secure the future of our pool.”
