$3 million to rebuild Creswick Police Station

The Shadow Minister for Police, Edward O’Donohue MP and Member for Ripon, Louise Staley MP have today committed to funding a much-needed rebuild of the Creswick Police Station if they win government.

An elected Liberal Nationals government will provide $3 million to rebuild Creswick Police Station. The current station is old, tired and not meeting the needs of local police members and the community.

“The hard-working men and women of Victoria Police deserve a modern, contemporary police station to enable them to perform their important work in keeping the local Creswick community safe.

“Creswick is experiencing significant population growth, local crime is up 34% under Daniel Andrews and the current Police Station is just not equipped to meet the needs of the growing community.” Ms Staley said.

Only the Liberals will rebuild the Police Station at Creswick to keep local families safe.

“While Daniel Andrews cuts and closes police stations, only the Liberals will invest in rebuilding Creswick Police Station.”

“Daniel Andrews has lost control of law and order, only the Liberals will make Victoria safe by rebuilding and upgrading Police Stations,” Edward O’Donohue said.

The rebuilt station will provide Creswick with greatly improved modern police facilities.

Significantly better working conditions for police members will assist to give the best possible policing service to the Creswick community.

Ms Staley said, “the Premier for Melbourne and his city-centric government don’t understand regional Victoria, they don’t know the communities and they don’t know what the communities need to feel safe.”

Only the Liberals have a plan to rebuild Creswick Police Station.
